Should You Focus on Quality or Quantity?

For many new bloggers, the task of deciding how often to post can be an overwhelming one. In many cases, bloggers have to face the question of quality versus quantity.

I did some searching around the internet for other bloggers’ thoughts on this issue, and came across a great list from Blogging Tips:

Quality Blog Posts:
-Being more personal
-High chances of reader interaction
-Informative
-Additional merit as an “expert” for certain topics

Quantity Blog Posts:

-Being up-to-date
-New content everyday
-More readers and site visitors
-High chances of page rank

As I’ve touched on before, here’s the bottom line: Find a blogging schedule that you can stay consistent with. Whether that’s everyday or every three days, find a rhythm that works for you. Even though every post you write isn’t going to be amazing, your quality posts should outnumber your filler (quantity) posts. This means that if you’re posting five times a week, you should only have a maximum of two filler posts each week.
